Sawadi Ventures believes that disciplined attention to environmental, social and governance factors supports better long-term outcomes and reflects our responsibility to the communities where we invest.

Our principles

Integration — ESG considerations inform our diligence, investment decisions and portfolio oversight, alongside commercial and risk factors.
Governance first — we prioritise strong governance, integrity and transparency in the businesses we back.
Portfolio expectations — we expect portfolio companies to comply with applicable environmental, labour, health-and-safety and human-rights laws, and to uphold anti-bribery and anti-corruption standards.
Stewardship — we engage constructively with the businesses we back to encourage responsible practices over time.
Proportionality — we apply this framework in a manner proportionate to the size, sector and nature of each investment.
